Tax calculator figures are the employee share on a single compensation salary. Self-employed members pay the full SSS (15%) and PhilHealth (5%) themselves. The House has a bill to raise the ₱250,000 TRAIN exemption; it is not law yet.

Common questions

How do I convert annual salary to hourly rate?

The salary converter uses 2,080 hours a year (40 hours/week × 52 weeks). ₱600,000 a year is about ₱288.46 an hour. You can change hours per day and days per week in the converter.

What's the difference between gross and net income?

Gross is pay before deductions. Net on the tax calculator is take-home after TRAIN Law income tax and the employee shares of SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.

How do I calculate Philippine taxes and contributions?

The tax calculator is for employed compensation: TRAIN Law brackets plus employee SSS (5%), PhilHealth (2.5%), and Pag-IBIG (2%, ₱200 cap). It does not compute the 8% optional tax, percentage tax, or VAT for self-employed freelancers.
