Common questions
How do I convert annual salary to hourly rate?

What's the difference between gross and net income?
Gross is pay before deductions. Net on the tax calculator is take-home after TRAIN Law income tax and the employee shares of SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
How do I calculate Philippine taxes and contributions?
The tax calculator is for employed compensation: TRAIN Law brackets plus employee SSS (5%), PhilHealth (2.5%), and Pag-IBIG (2%, ₱200 cap). It does not compute the 8% optional tax, percentage tax, or VAT for self-employed freelancers.
How do I convert PHP to USD for freelancing?
Use the salary converter. Enter a PHP amount and pay period to see USD and other currencies from the published rate file on this site, not a live tick.
What is the MP2 calculator for?
The MP2 calculator projects Pag-IBIG MP2 growth from monthly or one-time savings. It uses declared yearly dividend rates (2025: 7.12%) and the latest rate for years not yet declared. Actual dividends depend on Pag-IBIG Fund results.
